The best way to prep for the food indulgent holidays as well as getting a healthy dose of nutrition that will benefit your skin is to make this delicious Holiday Skin Prep Smoothie.  The smoothie is packed with vitamins, minerals, and contains a great dose of healthy fats that nourish your skin and give it a great fall glow. 

Ever dreamed of your favorite fall ingredients together? I thought so.  The pumpkin puree, dates, cashew butter, almond milk and superfood seeds make the smoothie thick, creamy, and naturally sweet. There are no sweeteners added, it is completely vegan, dairy free, and easy to make.

You also enhance this smoothie by adding your twist with additional nutritious ingredients to really make it your own. Never be afraid to experiment a little! Here are a few suggestions that you can add to this mouthwatering smoothie:

  • Organic Sesame Seeds
  • Organic Cacao Nibs
  • Vegan chocolate chips

What’s in the Smoothie?

Organic pumpkin puree: Did you know that pumpkins can improve the overall look of your skin and keep it glowing? Pumpkins are nutrient rich packed with vitamins and minerals that can help promote healthy and glowing skin by protecting your cell membranes, reducing acne, boosting collagen production, and promoting skin renewal. The famous minerals in pumpkins that can give you flawless and healthy skin are copper, potassium, zinc, and magnesium. Pumpkins are also known to contain a great source of vitamin C and A which are not only great for your immune system but can help fade hyperpigmentation and dark patches on your skin.

Sunflower Seeds: Great add for taste and skin health! Sunflower seeds are so tasty and prevent premature aging, reduce acne and inflammation, and keep skin glowing.

Organic Dates:  My favorite natural sweetener is not only delicious in smoothies, but dates are rich in vitamins, potassium, antioxidants, and minerals that are nourishing for your skin. By containing elements for the skin such as vitamin C vitamin D and B6, they help maintain skin elasticity and boost collagen production.

Organic Cashew Butter: GOODNESS! This makes a huge difference in a smoothie by adding major creaminess and consistency. The vitamins and minerals in cashews provide powerful antioxidants that minimize signs of aging including wrinkles and fine lines. This powerful tree nut also helps fight free radicals that can reduce inflammation in your skin. Cashews contain a great source of healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats that can keep your skin hydrated and moisturized, giving your skin a more youthful and smooth appearance. Almond milk: Please know that any dairy free milk will work. This milk is low in fat and calories and is known to be a great source of Vitamin D and E which are great for your skin.

Pumpkin Seeds: I love adding these. Not only are they high in protein, but also high in Zinc which protects your cell membranes, helps you maintain collagen and promotes skin renewal.


1 /3 cup of organic pumpkin puree

5 organic medjool dates

2 tablespoons of Cashew Butter

1 cup unsweetened organic almond milk, add more as necessary.

2 tbsp organic pumpkin seeds

1 tbsp organic sunflower seeds

4-5 Ice cubes

¼ teaspoon of cinnamon spice


Using a large high-powered blender, add in all ingredients.

Blend on high for 1-3 minutes until all ingredients are well combined.

Add more organic almond milk if needed for blending purposes.

Serve in a large cup and voila!
